“Without music to decorate it, time is just a bunch of boring production deadlines or dates by which bills must be paid.”

House of Chez HOC01 Bientôt disponible :

The “Identity of our Sound” Various Artist compilation is a collective of like-minded, forward thinking, and passionate music makers from around the globe, compiled together and scouted by Chez Damier. This double disk will take you on a journey, track to track, and will give you the opportunity to identify and feel the identity of their sound.

Tempo of Love (Saison Remix)

What better way to open up than with the energy of Chez Damier/Ben Vedren . Here though, it’s the sleek and smooth mid-tempo groove of Tempo of Love created as H2H that receives a remix by Saison. Holding in the silky strings and catchy melody of the original, Saison adds just enough to turn this into a more dancefloor friendly, deep, infectious, jazzy groove.

Easy Peelers - Chekov's Gun

Bursting straight into Chekov’s Gun by Easy Peelers - fast pace, bumpy bass, cut-to-the-chase -

can you keep up with this one?. With nicely placed swinging and adventurous hats and punchy claps. Just over half way when the tracks energy decreases, the organ sounds playing around here give this track some extra versatility.

El Kazed - For A&S

Flipping over, Axel Fischer aka El Kazed comes in with his track “For A&S, which is a demonstration of his 90’s sound inspiration. The atmospheric background sound creates anticipation throughout, which slowly builds from jumping snares. With swirling hypnotic synth sounds and a head nodding bass, you won’t want this one to end.

Mike Berardi - Sharp Accent

To finish off Disk 1 with something more minimal we have “Sharp Accent”. With 909 drum samples like Jeff Mills would kick off a track with - just much more slower and with a lot less energy - Sharp Accent is sharp. A small variety of innovative sounds in this nice roller. Think European minimal house for this one.
